My name is Elyse, and I am currently in Fidelity’s Rising Seniors Program, while pursuing my MBA with concentrations in Finance and International Business at Providence College. I joined the program in May 2022, received my SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses by August, and have been taking calls since September.
I first found Fidelity through a winter shadowing program at my school, where I had the chance to visit Fidelity’s Boston office and speak with individuals in various positions. I was enamored by Fidelity’s culture from the moment I walked into the office. The employees I met with were exceptionally welcoming and receptive and the environment of the office was fast-paced, interactive, and genuinely enjoyable.
When I saw an opening for the role of Customer Relationship Advocate in the Rising Seniors Program, I instantly knew it was something I had to apply for. Throughout my experience, there has emerged one word that describes the program better than anything else: opportunity. The program is an opportunity to study for your financial licenses, an opportunity to work closely with others, and an opportunity to develop your career before you finish your education.
Fidelity gives you all the tools you need to pass your exams through course materials, classes, office hours, and practice exams. No matter your background, you are extremely capable of putting these resources to use and getting licensed. You will have no shortage of people who are willing to help you in the licensing process, from your team leads to your cohort colleagues.
And once you are finished with your licensing, you maintain excellent relationships with these individuals as you work with them to learn how to flourish on the phones helping to support customers reach their financial goals. Overall, this program provides you with a foot-in-the-door to an outstanding organization that sincerely cares about its employees, supplies you with the flexibility necessary to work part-time and complete your collegiate studies, and secures you a place in the workforce before you graduate.
*The program is available to both college juniors who will be seniors and seniors who will be pursuing their MBA*
